Janey
Jefferson realized her dream early when at age 19
she became the owner of The Dance Studio. She grew up
in the same studio, studying ballet (her first love)
and later tap and jazz. During that time she gained
experience teaching classes, choreographing dances,
and operating a dance studio. Although Janey primarily
teaches ballet, tap, jazz and musical theater, she also
has enjoys ballroom dancing. Swing is her favorite,
but she also knows Fox Trot, Waltz, Cha Cha, Tango and
others. In 2002 she graduated suma cum laude from Western
Oregon University with a major in dance. Her senior
year she received the “Outstanding Dance Major” award.
Other dance experiences include traveling for a summer
with the CONTINENTALS and choreographing several musicals
including Cinderella and The Music Man.
Janey loves
teaching dance most of all anticipates another wonderful
year of dancing.

Wendy Boyack graduated from BYU with her BA in
Musical Theater Direction.
She has vast experience teaching children's theater
classes and voice lessons.
She has directed shows such as How To Succeed Without
Really Trying, You're A Good Man Charlie Brown, and various
small productions, as well as worked as the acting/vocal
coach for show such as Once On This Island, 42nd Street,
and West Side Story.
She has experience in script writing, adaptation,
technical work, costumes, make-up, and stage management.
She is excited to be a part of The Dance Studio
for the past 4 years. |
Jeanette
Richards has been dancing for most of her life.
Though most of her early training is in Ballet, she has
had diverse training in tap, jazz, modern and musical
theater over the past 30 years. She attended WOSC where
she was part of the dance company and elected President
of the company her senior year. She has taught all types
of dance genres for the past 17 years and has choreographed
several plays including Oklahoma and Seven Brides for
Seven Brothers. She thoroughly enjoys her role as teacher
at the dance studio and is looking forward to another
year of working with the children. |
